Greyhound racing is the sport of racing greyhounds. The dogs chase a lure (traditionally an artificial hare or rabbit) on a track until they arrive at the finish line. The one that arrives first is the winner.
In many countries, greyhound racing is purely amateur and conducted for enjoyment. In other countries (particularly the UK, US, Ireland, Australia, Spain, China and Mexico), greyhound racing is part of the gambling business,
similar to although far less profitable than horse racing. There is some popular concern in the aforementioned countries regarding the well-being of the dogs; the effectiveness of industry efforts to address these concerns is a topic of some debate.
A greyhound adoption movement has arisen to assist retired racing dogs in finding homes as pets.
Poker
Poker is a family of card games that share betting rules. Poker games differ in how the cards are dealt, how hands may be formed, whether the high or low hand wins the pot in a showdown limits on bets and how many rounds of betting are allowed.
In most modern poker games, the first round of betting begins with some form of forced bet. The action then proceeds to the left. Each player in turn must either match the maximum previous bet or fold,
losing the amount bet so far and all further interest in the hand. A player who matches a bet may also raise, increasing the bet.
If more than one player remains in contention after the final betting round, the hands are shown and the winning hand takes the pot.
Keno
Keno is a lottery-like or bingo-like gambling game often played at modern casinos, and is also offered as a game in some state lotteries.
A traditional live casino keno game uses a circular glass enclosure called a "bubble" containing 80 ping pong-like balls which determine the balldraw result.
Each ball is imprinted with a number 1 through 80. During the balldraw, a blower pushes air into the bubble and mixes the balls.
A "caller" presses a lever opening a tube, where the balls lift one at a time into a "V" shaped tube called the "rabbit ears".
The caller and a "verifier" record each of 20 balls drawn, and the computerized keno system calculates all wagers based on the numbers drawn.
